The Sky Man use the best quality equipment possible to install sky digital television in the Costa del Sol, Spain.
Satellite signal for sky digital television
Unlike the UK the signal received in Spain is very weak and we have to use a large 1.3 metre dish to get the best quality signal possible. Also to achieve this it is necessary to align the dish with maximum signal possible using the very latest in signal strength meters/spectrum analyser.
Satellite dishes and equipment used
The equipment we use for the installation is a 1.3 metre high gain aluminium dish with a 0.3db low noise block (lnb), the sky digital box we use is a Pace DS440N, the latest receiver from Pace Electronics. The colour of the box is light grey.
Satellite television internal cabling
Where possible we do all our cabling internally, alternatively if it’s not possible we take 100% care in making sure the cable is tacked as neatly as possible.
The Brit Pack installation
This package is ideal if you have a rental property or only visit the country a couple of times a year and find it uneconomical to pay for another sky card subscription.
The best way to get the most of this package is when you come to Spain or Portugal and are already a subscriber to sky in the UK. You can bring your existing card with you to view more channels depending on the package you have subscribed to.
For example, if you have a card in use in the UK on the family or value pack you will still be able to view the same amount of channels you can receive back home. If however you have a card with the premium package (movies and sports) you can also bring this card but will only be able to view as if the card was on the family pack, i.e. no movies and sports.
This is because the card is paired to the box in use in the UK. You would need to bring the digibox and sky card with you if you wanted to view all channels on this card.
Also the people you may rent the property out to can bring their cards with them enhancing their stay in one of your properties.

Sky Pack installation
This is a subscription package, with which you have a choice of different channels to choose from depending on what you are interested in watching. We would recommend this to any expats living permanently in Spain or Portugal.

To receive sky channels such as Sky One, Living TV, UK Gold, Paramount, Discovery, E4, Sky Movies or Sky Sports, etc. you will need to subscribe to sky and pay a monthly subscription via Visa or MasterCard, or you can pre-pay a year upfront to us in euros, the amount will depend on which sky package you opt for.
Free to View Pack installation
